Why I Make Homemade Dog Treats

My dogs have tried many store-brand dog treats over the years. Unfortunately, my mini dachshund, Reno, had a very sensitive stomach and couldn’t tolerate most treats that I would find at the pet store, even if they boasted using real ingredients.

I resolved to try homemade dog treats so he could enjoy some yummies without artificial dyes, shady-sounding preservatives, or nasty side effects.

All of my dogs love these homemade dog treats and your pup will too.

Woot! These are exactly our kind of treats! Well, our dog’s kind of treats. I love all of them – the fruit slices are great for chewy midday treats for the pups. We also enjoy making fruit/veggie mix leather – the doggos seem to like it!
